Valley View Farms has grown from a small roadside produce stand to one of the largest, most complete garden centers in the mid-Atlantic region. We offer our customers a unique shopping experience, combining a warm, friendly atmosphere with high quality merchandise and expert advice.
Brothers Billy and Punkey Foard opened Valley View Farms on Friday, April
13th, 1962, as a produce stand to augment a large wholesale vegetable
growing operation. As the store expanded in size to become the
premiere garden center in the Baltimore Metro area, several year-round
and seasonal departments were added that have provided a continuously
dynamic shopping experience for our customers. Today, Valley View Farms is owned and operated by father and son team, Billy and Andy Foard.
During the spring season Valley View Farms becomes the destination for gardeners all over the region with a complete selection of trees and shrubs; the largest selection of vegetable, flowering annual and perennial plants in the state; and every planter, trellis, soil or any other planting accessory necessary to help our customers achieve success in their gardens, along with an extensive patio furniture department. Our Water Garden department is stocked with water lilies, aquatic plants, fish and all the accessories any water gardener could want. In the fall, Valley View Farms transforms into a holiday wonderland, full of decorated trees, a huge outdoor lights display, and an International Christmas Shop featuring ornaments and gifts from all over the world. Valley View Farms continues to evolve and change everyday to provide the best products and services to our customers.

Valley View Farms supports the community through a number of contributions to area charities. Each holiday season, we are proud to partner with WBAL Radio by hosting The Dave Durian Morning Show in our Christmas Shop for three days. Our organization donates ten thousand dollars to the WBAL Radio Kids Campaign. In addition, members of our staff speak at area garden clubs and civic groups; all honorariums are accepted for and forwarded to WBAL Radio for the kids.
We also support area youth organizations by donations to the Cockeysville-Springlake, Carroll Manor and Prettyboy Recreation Councils. Finally, we recognize the invaluable service provided by our local volunteer fire departments by donating to the Cockeysville, Hereford, Long Green and Jacksonville Volunteer Fire Companies.
Our annual giving policy provides services to the people, especially children, in our communities. We regret that we are unable to fulfill the thousands of requests we receive for additional donations through the year.
