Plant Finder
Serviceberry (Amelanchier sp.) is a small Maryland native tree or large shrub that is suitable for home gardens. It flowers in early spring, bears edible fruits, and provides great fall color.
WE ENCOURAGE PLANTING NATIVE PLANTS
Establishing native species allows for eco-processes that can’t be achieved with common lawn grass or ornamentals. To strengthen the natural habitat in your backyard, we encourage the use of native plants.
